Bye Bye Bloglines
30Sep06
It’s not easy to be a web service editor when Google comes and competes with you.
After Newsgator, I switched to Bloglines about 18 months ago.
Quite easy to use with a simple but nice UI. Nothing really new happened but the mobile UI is OK.
When arrived last summer I wasn’t really impressed.
Now Google release a new version of its Feed Reader and it’s simply brilliant (still beta though).
Much nicer, the auto-mark-as-read feature is awesome, the whole thing smells like 2.0 but does not stinks like geeky-ajax-complicated-useless-features.
Thanks to the OMPL export feature from Bloglines (!!!) the switching effort is ridiculous.
Bye Bye Bloglines, one step beyond in my Google addiction.
